Once upon a time, a very brilliant Year 10 from Marist College was given a technology assessment. The assessment: to make a website for a business of your creation.
The Year 10 thought long and hard about what store she would found, weighed up many options, and finally, she thought of the one... A frozen yogurt store.
A simple yet delicious yogurt base ready for an abundance of toppings - it was the perfect idea. So she got to work. She picked out colours and fonts, created every
photo on her website, made sure everything worked smoothly and, with feedback from the best class in Year 10 (10S), invented some scrumptious yogurt flavours.
Finally, after many hours of work (and many mishaps), she was done, and she handed in her website to her teacher for marking. Her teacher, Mr Paterson (who is very cool),
was absolutely blown away by her incredible website and gave her top marks. Because of the success of her website and the positive reaction to a frozen yogurt store, the Year 10
decided to run with the idea of Froyo Delights. She opened the very first Froyo Delights store in Auckland, New Zealand and it was a massive hit! Froyo Delights
went global, and the Year 10 became the youngest billionaire ever. And to think, it all started with a good mark from her teacher.
And that is the story of the start of our business and of our founder, Stella Scahill.
